What's The Best Hair Salon Shampoo Brand?

There's been many hair care brands that claim to be "Salon Exclusive"but more often than not each exclusive brand tends to start out in hairdressers (the hairdresser making all sales and brand building but not the profit from the products) and then ultimately selling out into any retail outlet they can get it into or even supermarkets. So whats a true salon brand and what do hair salons think about products in there salons. I have been in hairdressing over 20 years and I have seen a lot of different brands coming to market the latest sales/profit schemes to come through my salon door promising to make exclusive products if I recommend the company's products to my customers. Over the last three years this has changed not only have large brandsput their products into hairdressers they have also started selling direct to consumers. Are you a hair salon? Does this scenario sound familiar - Regular client visits who uses a daily product - New product comes out in the range you brief your stylist to advise/sell to the client - Your stylist or you recommends the product to the client - The stylist gives a small booklet to the client prescribing by ticking the recommended products for the client - The client declines the sale for one reason or another - Client returns after 6 weeks an informs they purchased the productdiscounted direct from the brand on the internet Does this sound familiar to hairdressers or clients? It's also a complete waste of time or is it? I do not think it's a waste of time for the company who has supplied the products to the hair salon. The hair salon would have to make a minimum order of product in bulk and add to its stock list a large outlay profiting the hair product company. Effectively the hair stylist softened up the client for a sale. It just shows the complexities of today's product market place. Notall is doom and gloom in most cases the client will purchase the product and walk out happy and the salon gets some stock return. In 2007 I decided in my hair salon enough was enough although I dostock some brands I try to keep my stock low. I took the step to create my own product range which I can proudly say is "salon exclusive" why because I only sell in my hair salon and on my website. I have developed the products after speaking to my clients. Some of my clients have been with me for 20 years. What are Hair Salon Exclusive Product's Inside a hair salon we get lots of different customers with lots of different hair types styling requirements and treatments for hair problems. So hair salons need a range of different "situation specific" hair products these contain the necessary ingredients to do their required task. These can range from Head lice treatment, hair thickening, deep conditioning for dry hair, treatments for greasy hair and styling products meeting customer's personal preference. I have developed my own exclusive hair salon range which is easy to follow in 4 steps. Step 1 - Shampoo and Cleansing The Hair Step 2 - Conditioning and Treatment Step 3 - Styling and Definition Step 4 - Intense Problem Specific Treatments Some Examples of my products are as follows:- db hair shine serum db's shine serum is used to style finish the hair. A little goes a longway, db shine serum can be applied after hair straightening directlyto the hair for the perfect finish. Its light and easy to apply for a silky shiny look it will also seal the hair from moisture. db beat the heat thermal serum All hair is susceptible to heat and heat and the cold causes damage to hair. Blow drying the hair and hair straightening take their toll over time. Applying a heat protector to the hair before is a must to avoid heat damage. How to apply: start by working into the hair scrunching and massaging through then blow dry into the hair after the hair can be straightened.

Inner Beauty: The Key to Beautiful Skin

Beauty on the inside is not just for good hearts andamazing personalities. Virtually all the major leaders and celebrity personalities in the health industry are, in one way or another, showing us all how much our inner beauty impacts how we look and feel and act on the outside. Whether it's Dr. Oz, Jillian Michael, Dr. Dean Ornish, or Lisa Lillien, the common theme is moving towards having the right lifestyle for your overall health. You have a lot more control than you think in how you feel, how much energy you have, and how you look. And the look and feel of your skin is no different. To create beautiful skin, start with beauty on the inside. Think about it, the old adage "you are what youeat" is so true. But, that is only part of the story. For the whole picture you need to add drink, sleep, do, say, and act to the mix. Trythis on for size: You are what you eat, drink, say, where you go, and how much you do, sleep, stress, and laugh. Yes, that is a bit long, but it is true. For your skin, it is a combination of your lifestyle and your environment. In fact, 80 percent of the way your skin ages is due to these two factors alone. However, most of us put all our effort and a lot of our money into countless skin treatments for our sun damage, wrinkles, dryness, blemishes, and age spots. Yes, there is a place for dermatologist grade products in your skincare routine. However, no skincare routineor product can compensate for poor inner health. The first and most important thing you can do is drink lots of water. I know you hear this all the time, but it is so true! Your body is an organ - the largest organ - and it is made up of 70 percent water. There are many skin problems that originate with dry skin so it is very important (1) to hydrate and (2) moisturize without suffocating your skin. The last point is very important because many moisturizing lotions actually clog pores and keep the skin from breathing. Your skin is adynamic organ with anywhere between 2-4 million sweat glands. In an area the size of a quarter, you have around 600 pores. That puts the number of pores on your face alone in the 30,000 to 50,000 range. If you consider the impact of thick moisturizers, foundation, and other make-up, then it is easy to see why we have skin issues, andwhy they get more pronounced over time. To give your skin the breathing room it needs, wash your face twice a day, keep the make up to a minimum if possible, and use a light moisturizer. Look for a moisturizer where the main ingredient is a natural oil or extract like sunflower seed or macadamia oils. Natural oils and extracts will lubricate your skin without clogging pores and it could make all the difference in the look, feel and health of your skin.

Learn How to Get YOUR Perfect Doll Face!

Many different makeup trends are popping up this Spring and Summer. One trend that is flattering and easy for everyone to try is the Doll Face. This look seems to stand the test of time, so you can try it any season. The Doll Face look is fresh and simple. The key areas are: glowing skin, big eyelashes, and baby pink lips. For glowing skin, you first need to choose the right foundation foryour skin type. If you have normal to dry skin, I suggest using loosemineral powder. It provides medium to full coverage with a dewy finish. For oily or combination skin, try a pressed powder foundation to control oiliness and provide a semi-matte finish. Colorescience Pro and gloMinerals offer amazing formulas in loose and pressed foundations with a wide variety of shades. As an added benefit, mineral makeup protects and nourishes your skin. To get a natural glow, use gloMinerals gloHighlighter. This illuminating cream gives skin a "lit-from-within" shimmer. Dab the highlighter onto cheek and brow bones, using a little at a time. If you're afraid this creamy product will only add to your oiliness, trygloBlushDuo in Petunia. It will give you a fresh, natural flush. Now for eyelashes -- the bigger, the better! Our inspiration here is classic Twiggy. While most of us don't have perfect lashes, we'll need the tools and techniques to create them. The first step is using an eyelash curler. The thought might be intimidating if you've neverused one, but this tool will quickly become your best beauty friend. Isuggest using the gloMinerals gloLash Curler which is specially designed to prevent lash tear out. Because of my stubborn lashes, I typically press and hold the curler at the lash base for 10-15 seconds. For mascara, use RevitaLash Volumizing Mascara in Raven. This fabulous clump-free mascara provides thicker, fuller lashes for an eye-popping finish. With dramatic lashes, keep the rest of your eye makeup simple. For the final touch, you need pink lips. If you favor lip gloss, try Colorescience Pro Lip Polish in Tickled Pink. This long lasting formula colors, plumps and shines all in one gloss. Another great multi use lip product is gloMinerals Perfect Lip Duo in Pink. This duo contains a lipstick on one end with a gloss on the other. Wear the gloss over the lipstick for extra dimension and shine or try each separately. I recommend applying the lipstick, then just a dab of gloss to the center of lips for the perfect pout. So remember: the keys to achieving a fresh and flawless Doll Face are mineral powder foundation, highlighting cream or light blush, big beautiful eyelashes and soft pink lips. And voila! You have your perfect doll face which is truly a timeless trend.

British Cardinal Apologises For Sexual Conduct

Cardinal Keith O’Brien, who resigned last week as Britain’s most senior Roman Catholic cleric, on Sunday admitted that his sexual conduct had “fallen below the standards expected of me”.

A statement released by the former head of the Catholic Church in Scotland apologized “to those I have offended… to the Catholic Church and people of Scotland.”

The 74-year-old had been due to be the only British cardinal to vote on a replacement for Pope Benedict XVI following the pontiff’s shock resignation on February 11.

O’Brien resigned as head of the Scottish church on Monday in the wake of claims that he made sexual advances towards priests.

“In recent days certain allegations which have been made against me have become public,” said the cleric. “Initially, their anonymous and non-specific nature led me to contest them.

“However, I wish to take this opportunity to admit that there have been times that my sexual conduct has fallen below the standards expected of me as a priest, archbishop and cardinal,” he added.

O’Brien — who steps down as Archbishop of St Andrews and Edinburgh — initially denied the allegations, which date back to the 1980s.

“To those I have offended, I apologize and ask forgiveness,” he said in Sunday’s statement. “To the Catholic Church and people of Scotland, I also apologize.

“I will now spend the rest of my life in retirement. I will play no further part in the public life of the Catholic Church in Scotland.”

He confirmed in his resignation statement that he will not take part in the papal election conclave, which has been overshadowed by controversies surrounding O’Brien and other cardinals caught up in sex scandals.

He had been due to resign on his 75th birthday later this month but said on Monday that the pope had decided it should take effect immediately.

The allegations include claims that one priest received unwanted attention from O’Brien after a late-night drinking session, Britain’s Observer newspaper reported last month.

Another priest reportedly claims that O’Brien used night prayers as cover for inappropriate contact.

In new claims published in Sunday’s Observer, one of the claimants said he had been “disappointed” by the Church’s response.

“There have been two sensations for me this week,” he said. “One is feeling the hot breath of the media on the back of my neck and the other is sensing the cold disapproval of the Church hierarchy for daring to break ranks. I feel like if they could crush me, they would.

“The vacuum the Church has created has allowed whimsy and speculation to distort the truth, and the only support I have been offered is a cursory email with a couple of telephone numbers of counselors hundreds of miles away from me,” he added.

A string of new scandals and allegations have emerged since Benedict only the second pope in the Church’s 2,000-year history to step down of his own free will.

Four members of the conclave are associated with the pedophile priest scandals that have dominated Benedict’s eight-year rule as pope.

And while 85-year-old Benedict cited his age as the main factor in his resignation, media have speculated that an explosive report into last year’s “Vatileaks” scandal may have played a role.

O’Brien has previously angered the gay community with his hardline public stance on homosexuality. He was named “bigot of the year” last year by the gay rights charity Stonewall.
He recently said that same-sex marriages would be “harmful to the physical, mental and spiritual well-being of those involved” and has long voiced opposition to gay adoption.

But he has also called for priests to be able to marry and have children.

“Many priests have found it very difficult to cope with celibacy as they lived out their priesthood, and felt the need of a companion, of a woman, to whom they could get married and raise a family of their own,” he told BBC television.

THINGS THAT YOU CAN DO TO SOLVE MARITAL ISSUES!

Loyalty Issues
One of the major problems with your mother in-law that you're bound to have is that your husband is more her son than your husband. This can be an understandably frustrating situation for any wife. He may run to his mother for approval regarding the tiniest things and may even support her over you in certain matters. It can be really annoying to have a pure mama's boy for a husband, especially when you've seen the independent man he can be. Such situations can lead to a considerable amount of animosity between you and him. In such a situation, what you need to realize that is that it's perfectly natural for a son to feel a close affinity to his mother even after marriage. You need to be patient with him. Slowly and gently talk to him about the issue and try to make him understand that you have no issues with his mother as a person, but his extreme loyalty to her, over you, in matters that you know you are right in, bothers you. He'll definitely understand what you're saying and make the necessary amends.

Intrusive Behavior
Do your in-laws have an opinion about everything that you and your spouse do? Do they pick the colors of your curtains? Do they decide which school your kids should go to? And do they decide where you should be investing your money and demand to know all about your finances and other things? If you've answered yes to the above questions, then you may be experiencing an intrusion problem my friend. And the answer to this problem is NOT to tell them to stop interfering in your lives and leave you alone, but to again be patient and get through it. They're only looking out for you and your family, so don't discount their opinions altogether. When you do that, you may lose out on some potentially excellent advise that they may have on something that they have expertise in. So, pay heed to their opinions, but make it very clear to them that you'll consider their advise and not necessarily do as they want, because you may find a better option. This way, they have the satisfaction of having their say (literally and figuratively speaking) and you still get to hold your ground. The worst thing you can do is ignore them and their advise. So listen and do whatever seems feasible for you.

Condescending Attitude
Every parent thinks that their child could have married someone better. Whether they accept that or not is an entirely different issue, but it's true that they always think that their own child is way too good for the person he or she gets married to. You have to graciously accept this fact and the possibly torturous condescending attitude that it brings with it. You may be subjected to a certain level of hostility and contempt by your in-laws because they think that you don't match up to their child for various reasons. It can become really difficult as a son in-law or daughter in-law to deal with someone who thinks little of you. What you need to remember in such situations is that your spouse chose you over all the other 'options' that he or she had. He or she loves you and married you, not anyone else. She or he already made the choice and picked you. That's what will get you through such a situation, not complaining and whining about it to your spouse. It will only upset him or her and widen the gap between you and your in-laws. Prove yourself to them and they'll see you in a completely different light altogether.

Communication Barriers
The main problem in almost every deteriorating relationship is a lack of communication. The absence of communication can turn problems that seem like mountains into molehills. Communication between you and your spouse, communication between you and your in-laws is the only way to let each other know that such and such problems exist. How else do you think the process of working towards eradicating the problems is going to be kick started? It's very simple really. Just because you don't live in the same city doesn't mean you cannot pick up the phone and make a call just to ask them how they're doing. Just spending awkward holidays with them is not enough. That spoils the flavor of the occasion and that's something that you don't want. So make an effort to maintain a stable communication with your in-laws. They're your family after all, aren't they?

Just keep in mind that they're your family, not your enemies. They love their child and so do you. There's bound to be a little tug of war, but hey, you signed up for that voluntarily, didn't you?
